Muthu Clumber Park Hotel and Spa
For lovers of outdoor adventure, Muthu Clumber Park Hotel and Spa is an exciting option. Located on the door to Sherwood Forest, guests can enjoy horse riding and pony trekking, mountain biking, walking and archery.
It’s a popular choice with brides and grooms as it’s licensed for hosting civil marriages and partnerships. With the picturesque setting of Clumber Park and the hotel’s natural woodland areas, couples can relax knowing their keepsake wedding photos will have the very best backgrounds.
Muthu Clumber Park Hotel and Spa offers superb leisure facilities. The spacious spa offers a range of treatments. The coconut scalp massage and nectarine and honey blossom body scrub are our favourites!
Guests can enjoy dining at two on-site restaurants. The Courtyard Restaurant is open in the evenings, from Monday to Saturday. The Normanton Inn is perfect for a leisurely breakfast, lunch or light snacks. Ingredients are sourced locally. This means guests can enjoy the best of seasonal produce in either restaurant.
Muthu Westcliff Hotel
For views over the Thames Estuary and the picture postcard Cliff Gardens, Muthu Westcliffe Hotel welcomes guests with a superb cliff top outlook over the popular seaside resort. Within a short walk from all the tourist attractions of Westcliffe on Sea and within close proximity of Southend Central, Southend Victoria and Westcliffe rail stations, this hotel has an enviable location. Plus, it’s only 30 minutes from London.
If you’re choosing Muthu Westcliffe Hotel for a break, expect a stylish, traditional hotel. The landmark Victorian building boosts 55 luxurious bedrooms and romantic suites. These are perfect for wedding nights and special occasion stays. Facilities at the seaside hotel are modern yet many original period features remain.
Enjoy a flawless service when dining in the Tuxedo Bar or Great Tides restaurant. An a la carte menu is served in the restaurant while the Tuxedo Bar offers light snacks.
You cannot stay at Muthu Westcliffe Hotel without a visit to Southend Pier! The longest pleasure pier in the world is just a 15 minute walk away. The Grade II listed building is almost one and a half miles long. It was originally built due to shallow sea levels. Even at high tide, it was tricky for boats and ships to dock. Thanks to a campaign lead by the Lord Mayor of the City of London in the 1800s, the pier was built. With the improved docking, visitors flocked to Southend-on-Sea instead of sailing past for a stay in Margate!
