The Pointer
A truly lavish country British pub with boutique hotel rooms, in the heart of Buckinghamshire, is The Pointer. Escape to the village of Brill and embrace the exposed oak beams, a warm, homely atmosphere and rustic, cosy fireside nooks.
Eight en-suite bedrooms encompass kilim fabrics, natural fibres, and more exposed beams. Each bathroom has been lovingly designed with relaxation in mind, with some featuring roll-top baths and special waterfall showers. Rooms range from a cosy, Standard Double to a Family room, and if some time away with friends is on the cards, then The Cottage is the perfect spot. Originally built as an estate cottage for the local community nurse, this quaint getaway has been carefully restored and extended to complement the original period features.
Open daily, The Pointer offers honest and hearty British pub food, produced, and sourced locally, with Jon the butcher bringing premium cuts of meat from his shop next door. Cask ales are on tap, including the house ale straight from XT Brewery in Long Crendon nearby. Or if preferred, artisan spirits and liqueurs are on offer, with their very own Brill Gin, distilled in the UK, with bottles to take home and enjoy. Suitable for those travelling alone and those travelling as a family, with dogs, children and muddy boots welcome, a great stay is definitely on the agenda.
