History at the New Place Hotel
Designed by Sir Edwin, the New Place Hotel was built in 1906 by J.Parnell & Sons of Ruby. In 1956, the building was run as a boys prep school and closed later in 1978. After functioning as a conference centre, in 1979 the first bedroom was built. Fast forward to today and the unique building is a perfect backdrop for leisure and corporate guests.
Facilities at the New Place Hotel
The New Place Hotel combines a grand manor house, a smart business centre and an array of bedrooms. Wherever you are in the hotel, you can enjoy the gorgeous surroundings of 32 acres of landscaped gardens. The modern bedrooms are situated in the new buildings next to the manor house and offer a home away from home feel for guests.
In addition to the calming decor, there are a selection of room types on offer including standard double, twin, single and family rooms. All of which come with complimentary WiFi, tea and coffee making facilities, an iron and ironing board and a flat screen TV.
If you are looking for something to do on-site at the hotel, the leisure suite is ideal! Opt for a swim in the hotel’s pool, or head to the fitness room. Both of these facilities are open from from 6:30am until 10:00pm. The hotel’s gym is also available to guests and fully equipped with training equipment including indoor rowers and medicine balls.
Dining at the New Place Hotel
Ornate high ceilings, wood-panelled walls and intricate artwork await in the Bristol Dining Room. Head Chef Mark Grieveson serves the very best locally sourced and seasonal ingredients from a British and Mediterranean inspired menu.
Soak up the Edwardian grandeur of the building in the relaxed Lutyens Bar. This is a great space to catch-up on the news, socialise with friends or enjoy a sandwich or salad.
Alternatively, indulge in Afternoon Tea served in a luxurious setting! Sit back and relax with a selection of sandwiches, sweet treats and scones. Plus the New Place Hotel offers an excellent choice of teas. Or indulge in a glass of prosecco if you prefer!
