Bonfire Night is almost here! As firework displays get bigger and better every year, there is a great choice of organised displays for everyone to enjoy. The Houses of Parliament in London are known for being the scene of the failed Gunpowder Plot in 1605 when Guy Fawkes attempted to blow up the king and parliament. This is why we have Bonfire Night. Keeping it in London, we’ve selected some of the fabulous organised firework displays which take place this weekend. We’re certain you’ll love them!
Brent Firework Night – North London
Wembley Stadium will be alive with an incredible firework display this Saturday. The event begins at 7pm and celebrates both bonfire night and Diwali – the Hindu Festival of Lights. Alongside a light parade, there will be 20 Scottish fire torches and hundreds of lanterns made by the local community. Visitors can see Dhol drummers, neon dancers and a mechanical elephant too! Indian music will be the soundtrack to the animated lights and fireworks display. Plus there will be lots of delicious British and South Asian food for revellers to enjoy.
The Old Etonian Hotel is just three miles from Wembley Stadium and is a convenient place to stay after the night’s entertainment. Guests can also enjoy a meal in the warm and friendly Old Etonian restaurant. They have a menu with a variety of traditional classics. In the morning, enjoy the autumnal views of Harrow-on-the-Hill before a day shopping in the London designer outlet at Wembley.
Wimbledon Park Fireworks- West London
Wimbledon Park is hosting a firework display on 5 November. Visitors will need to book tickets online for this event. There are two bonfires being lit, one at 6:30pm and the second at 8:15pm, along with two fireworks displays. There’s a funfair, food stalls and a bar too.
After the bonfire night celebrations, the Antoinette Hotel Wimbledon is situated conveniently around the corner. It boasts a gorgeous roof garden which has spectacular views of Wimbledon. Plus guests can take advantage of free parking at the hotel! While in Wimbledon, it’s the perfect time to visit the Lawn Tennis museum. They have lots to see including past trophies from the world-famous tennis tournament.
Tower Hamlets Firework Night – East London
Tower Hamlets Firework Night is on 4 November at Victoria Park at 7pm. This year it is has a monstrous theme – inspired by the first science fiction novel, Frankenstein. Created by a leading outdoor theatre company called Walk The Plank, there will be an atmospheric soundtrack inline with the night’s theme. Admire the fantastic monster decorations and fireworks exploding in time to the music. It’s free entry and there will be snack stalls and hot beverages to purchase too.

Battersea Park Firework Display – Central London
Battersea Power Station’s Circus West Village is one of London’s newest and most exciting destinations. The Bonfire Night festivities are sponsored by the famous Battersea Power Station. The bonfire will be lit at 7:30pm. Visitors can enjoy a circus theme for the fireworks display. Plus, you are in the best location for discovering all the new bars and restaurants which have opened in the area too.
The Mercure London Bridge is in the centre of London and is a great choice to warm up after a night of fireworks.

Blackheath London – South London
Finally, the fireworks at Blackheath take place this Saturday. This is one of London’s largest displays and it’s free to attend. There is a funfair from 12pm and an array of food stalls and bars, which open from 5pm. There is plenty of time to get a bite to eat before the display and enthusiastic entertainers will keep everyone busy until the fireworks begin at 8pm.
