The hotel was originally two Victorian houses which were converted about 60 years ago. The present owner added a further property to increase capacity back in 2001. Recently, a renovation project that took place over the last 18 months, has added even further facilities for the convenience of guests.
Now open Monday to Friday, the new look bar and restaurant are a real hit with guests. Inspired by art deco design and with a private walled town garden for those lazy summer days, guests can choose from a menu of delicious home cooked dishes and a wide selection of drinks. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is warm and friendly. The cooked breakfast is a winner too!
Guest Rooms
Elizabeth House Hotel has 27 guest rooms with full en-suite facilities. The rooms are all individually designed and have a 32 inch flat screen TV with Freeview plus a hospitality tray and free WiFi. Full access guest rooms are available on the ground floor and for larger parties, the hotel has a four bedroom apartment with its own kitchen, lounge and dining area. The apartment has its own private entrance too.

Elizabeth House Hotel is in a great location as it’s just outside the city centre and convenient for Southampton University. And because Southampton is a busy port for many cruise ships, this hotel is a popular choice with holiday makers who are due to board their chosen cruise liner the following day. For this reason, Elizabeth House Hotel offers holiday parking for cruise guests who stay the night. The fee is less than £5 per day which is excellent value for money.
