For British art, the Cartwright Hall is a great option set on magnificent grounds. And for those with a keen interest in the Industrial Revolution, Bradford Industrial Museum is another must. Lister Park, Oakwell Hall and Bradford Catheral are some great additions to a visitor’s itinerary too!

Alternatively, head 140 metres underground to the National Coal Mining Museum for England where you can experience an authentic miner’s journey. Or if you’d like to learn more about the conservation works of the medieval era, Pontefract Castle is a great choice!

Not forgetting for food lovers, Wakefield’s Festival of Food, Drink and Rhubarb takes place every February and is a great addition to the 2020 calendar. For adrenaline fanatics, windsurfing across the lake at Pugneys Watersport Centre will excite while the Gravity Trampoline Park and Snozone Yorkshire are certain to impress.

Wakefield really does have something for all to enjoy!
