Remember, remember the 5th of November! It’s that time again when the anniversary of the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605 is remembered with the burning of Guy Fawkes on a bonfire and the night sky is illuminated with dazzling fireworks displays.

Leeds Castle Fireworks Spectacular
Taking place on 3 and 4 November, Leeds Castle Fireworks Spectacular is held in the beautiful grounds of Leeds Castle in Maidstone, Kent. This year’s theme celebrates dance. A great theme for the children to enjoy as they can dance along to their favourite film songs such as I like to move it and Just Dance! There is a falconry display alongside a maze and fairground attractions.Tuck into a variety of delicious food and drink from various stalls too.
Dancing visuals will be projected onto the castle as the fireworks sparkle in the night sky! It’s going to be a magical Bonfire Night 2018 at Leeds Castle.
Maidstone means ‘stone of the roses’ and until 1998 it was home to Sharps Toffee factory where Bassetts Liquorice Allsorts and other sweets were made. The town is home to one of the top five shopping centres in the South East of England too so combining shopping with a trip to the firework display is the perfect excuse for a weekend to remember!
Firework Spectacular at Stockeld Park
Starting from 4:30pm on 4 November, Stockeld Park opens its doors for people to enjoy a night full of entertainment! Day time fun starts with the Forest and Maze. Then from late evening, a jam-packed Bonfire Night 2018 is all systems go with a live DJ who begins his set. Performers will take to the stage to keep the crowd entertained and look out for the fire breathers!
Just a short 30 minute drive from the centre of York, Stockeld Park is the perfect base for a bonfire night and a couple of nights away! York is the birthplace of Guy Fawkes and offers a range of things to do and history to explore. Home to the National Railway Museum and York Castle Museum which offers some wonderful insights to the town’s history. Plus, choose from a range of tea rooms, vintage shops and nearby attractions to visit and enjoy!
Late Night Rides and Fireworks at Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Opening late on 27 October and 3 November, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is a fantastic getaway for the whole family! During these dates around Bonfire Night, visitors can enjoy extended fun and ride times on the very best roller coasters. As the rides begin to shut, visitors will be able to enjoy the incredible firework display. Each night it will have its own unique musical theme! This is a great way to spend Bonfire Night 2018.
Fleetwood Market, the Grand Theatre and The Blackpool Tower are just some of the sights you can enjoy during the day! Legoland Fireworks Spectacular
Don’t miss the Legoland Fireworks Spectacular taking place from 20 to 27 October and on 2 November. Home to over 55 interactive rides, building workshops, driving schools and attractions, spread over are 150 acres of land. Located in Windsor, the Legoland event provides an exciting backdrop for a family day out – with a twist! While wearing the provided special brick glasses, the fireworks will magically transform into exploding Lego bricks! Bonfire Night 2018 lego style doesn’t get better than that!
During your time in South East England, Windsor Castle is a must see. It has been the family home to British kings and queens for over 1,000 years. The castle is the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world! And if you visit at the right time and see the flag flying above the round tower, you’ll know Her Majesty The Queen is in! After exploring the castle, make the most of the outdoors with time at Windsor Great Park. Or book a boat trip or take your own leisurely stroll along the River Thames, which flows through the historic town.
Bonfire Night on the Forest Nottingham
Fairground rides, appetising food stalls and a large roaring bonfire awaits at The Forest Recreation Ground on Monday 5 November. Enjoy the dazzling views of the Firework Display while warming up with a hot beverage! It’s a great night out for all and includes two firework displays. Plus, the lighting of East Midlands’ biggest bonfire which takes place in between displays.
